Ava, Luke & Emma

Hats for Ava, Luke and Emma, On left – the serendipity pattern casting on 31 stitches (should be about right to fit a toddler). The other two hats use the old faithful pattern, casting on 32 stitches.

Gifts for Grandma…each knitted in about an hour with less than one skein of Sugar and Cream cotton yarn. Patterns to come.

Just some more hats

Not Noro

PA040032

Looks like Noro Silk Garden though doesn’t it? It’s one skein of “It’s a Wrap” by Sensations – color #3.  Found this for about $6 at Joann and thought it would be perfect to practice with before I try to knit this at with my actual Noro yarn using an eyelet pattern created by Strings and Strands.

Lulu

PA040033

I took a break from knitting hats to knit a scarf and well, matching hat. What can I say, I love the instant gratification of knitting a hat in an hour. This set is for the very lovely Lulu (Lauren) for Christmas…no peeking. I used two strands knit together  of Ciclamino (Color 9) from Laines Du Nord. The hat took four balls with leftover yarn, and the scarf used four balls plus the leftover yarn from the hat in a knit two, purl two rib.
